One of my favorite singers in the contemporary jazz scene, with four excellent solo albums to her credits, Amanda Carr does a rare & precious performance in Los Angeles tonight. The Boston-based daughter of Big Band vocalist, Nancy Carr and late trumpeter, Nick Capezuto (most known for Herb Pomeroy Band), Amanda is a multi-styled vocalist performing internationally for over three decades with critical acclaim. Amanda was featured in a story by writer, Nat Hentoff published in The Wall Street Journal, which catapulted her to global exposure. She has headlined at the EuroJazz festival in Italy along with James Moody and George Mraz. Her TV and Film compositions have garnered her with a National Emmy nomination and 3 Golden Telly Awards. Welcome to LA, Amanda!
