Meanwhile, "Summer in the City: The Soul Jazz Grooves of Quincy Jones", the acclaimed compilation of his A&M years produced by Arnaldo DeSouteiro for the Verve Music Group, remains a best-selling CD all over the world.
While in New York, Quincy will do several interviews for TV and radio to promote the book, the CD and the "Q Prize" event.
Quincy is scheduled to appear on ABC’s "Good Morning America" on Thursday (November 13) and "Live with Regis & Kelly" on Friday (November 14). He’ll also be on NPR’s "All Things Considered," several Clear Channel radio stations, WNYC’s Soundcheck, Bloomberg Television’s Muse, PBS’s "The Charlie Rose Show," and ABC’s "Nightline." We’ll have more details with the airdates of those appearances soon.
