CD of the Day - "Sabrina Malheiros: New Morning"

CD of the Day
Sabrina Malheiros: "New Morning" (Far Out) 2008
Sabrina wrote and/or co-wrote all songs (with the exception of "It's Not Late") on "New Morning," her second album (not counting the "Vibrasons" remix project, of course).
My personal favorites tracks are "Brisa Mar," "Sintonia," "Nova Estaçao," "It's Too Late" (yes, the old Carole King hit, arranged by Azymuth's keyboardist José Roberto Bertrami), "Essa Canção," "Sem Pressa" and "Vou Voar."
Among the featured musicians: the proud dad Alex Malheiros, Paulo Braga, Ivan Conti, Fernando Moraes (who performed on her live debut at London's "Jazz Café" years ago), Eduardo Neves, Paulo Guimarães, Zero, Vittor Santos, Zé Carlos (the guitarist, not the reedman), Daniel Maunick (who also produced the entire project and arranged many songs) and Arthur Verocai, responsible for the strings arrangements.
Very nice cover art too, on digipack format.
