Alexa Weber Morales live in San Jose, CA, Feb 29 & March 2nd

The sun is out here in Oakland and the daffodils are nodding all over the city. It almost makes one want to promote one's gigs!

On to the Alexa Weber Morales gigs:

Hedley Here We Come! - 8:00pm-midnight
Friday, February 29th, 2008
The Hedley Club
De Anza Hotel, 233 West Santa Clara Street San Jose, CA 95113 http://www.hoteldeanza.com/hedley.html

With Aaron Germain, bass, Alexey Berlind, drumset and Colin Hogan, piano. This is a really swanky room -- Casablanca meets the Silicon Valley (hmm, that's depressing -- let's just focus on Casablanca).

Patois Records Showcase! - 3:00pm-5:00pm Sunday, March 2nd, 2008
The Improv San Jose Sponsored by the San Jose Jazz Society
62 South Second Street
San Jose, CA
(408) 280-7475
Price: $20 members, $30 public
http://www.sanjosejazz.org/

This concert is a triple-bill with Wayne Wallace and Kat Parra, both of whom unveil material from their brand-new 2008 releases. The band features Murray Low/piano, Paul van Wageningen/drumset, Michael Spiro/percussion, David Chaidez and Zareen/backup vocals and Masaru Koga/winds. It's an early show: 3 pm to 5 pm!

But for those who like to party, there's a mixer after the show at Azucar's Latin Bistro and Mojito Bar. Azucar is at 71 East San Fernando St., around the corner from The Improv. Come solo and meet other jazz fans or bring a friend to add to the fun.
