CD Reissue of the Month - "Impressions of New York"

CD Reissue of the Month

The Rolf and Joachim Kuhn Quartet: "Impressions of New York" (Impulse!)

Produced by Bob Thiele, recorded in a single session (actually, just three hours!) on July 27, 1967, at Capitol Studios, NY, it became the only album ever recorded by German musicians to the Impulse! label.
Originally engineered by Frank Abbey, this CD reissue was produced by Matthias Kunnecke and remastered by Klaus Scheuermann, keeping the original liner notes written by Nat Hentoff. Top-class free jazz and collective improvisation.
Featuring Rolf Kühn (clarinet), Joachim Kühn (piano), Jimmy Garrison (bass) & Aldo Romano (drums).
