This July Mojo Magazine's monthly Club night brings you an evening of early soul, rock 'n' roll and 1950's R&B with a line-up of 3 outstanding performers. James Hunter on the back of his new record The Hard Way is joined by Bostonian Eli 'Paperboy' Reed and the True Loves with Liverpool's own eccentric Bluesmen Edgar Jones and The Joneses lined up to kick off the evening's proceedings.

Praise for James Hunter
'Harks back not so much to the airbrushed Sam Cooke but to the star's earlier and more abrasive gospel incarnation'
Sunday Times.
'One of the best voices, and one of the best-kept secrets, in British R&B and soul'
The Guardian.
'He has the fire, flair and curvaceous melodies of the pre-60s greats. There's Sam Cooke in his voice, Ray Charles (spiced with James Brown) in his rhythm'
Telegraph.
Praise for Eli 'Paperboy' Reed
'Put simply, his return to these shores in July with The True Loves is a truly tantalising prospect.'
MOJO
Praise for Edgar Jones and The Joneses
'Maximum R&B with none of the picnic-blanket civility of Jools Holland'
