Eddie Daniels: "Street Wind" (Marlin/HSM) 2009
First CD reissue of a long forgotten large-budget Eddie Daniels pop-fusion project recorded in 1978 for the Marlin label (a division of TK Productions), and now revived by Henry Stone Music. Don't expect anything similar to any of Daniels' GRP albums.
Produced by Don Sebesky & Dick Duane
Arranged & Conducted by Don Sebesky
The all-star cast features Brazilian percussionists Dom Um Romão (mispelled Domum Ramao!) and Rubens Bassini, Bob Rose, Dave Grusin, John Scofield, Neil Jason, Bernard Purdie, Sue Evans, Don Grolnick, Joe Beck, Patti Austin, Steve Jordan, Allan Schwartzberg, Dave Friedman, Rufus Reid, Mike Renzi, Ed Walsh, Steve Khan, Ron Zito, Brian Brake, George Devens, plus brass (Randy Brecker, Jon Faddis, Urbie Green, among others) and strings sections.
Unfortunately, the CD mastering is very bad, and sounds like copied from third-generation masters, since you can listen to a lot of noise and tape hiss.

This is a CD-R copy and a bad one at that.......absolute garbage! Bought one through Amazon.com. They should be charged with bootlegging or selling bootlegs. A disgrace!
I bought my copy on Amazon too...
...or Dusty Groove? I don't know for sure.
