Single of the Day
The Clams: "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face / Close To You " (Three Brothers/CTI)
Recorded in 1974, that was The Clams' one and only recording ever! Produced by Tony Levin for CTI's subsidiary label Three Brothers, featured hilarious versions of two pop hits made famous by Roberta Flack and The Carpenters, respectively.
Tony Levin (bass), his brother Pete Levin (keyboards) and Steve Gadd (drums) were the moments of this short-lived trio.

I wonder if they got the name for their band from Buddy Rich?
