The revolutionary Austrian keyboardist Joseph Zawinul, who had been hospitalized at Vienna's Wilhelminenspital on August 8th, has canceled his Paris concert for September 6th. The Austrian Press as well as relatives of the pianist report that Zawinul is being treated for a kind of skin cancer ( Nouvel Observateur , Krone.at ).
