SXSW All Roads Lead To Austin: Day One Highlights

All Roads Lead To Austin: Day One Highlights
Well THAT was fun! Yesterday was the first of our two SXSW parties on the rolling lawns of the French Legation Museum and we couldn't have asked for a better day on any front -- beautiful weather, a lovely spot to escape from the psychosis of 6th Street, and so much great music. I won't even bother trying to describe it; just watch (and listen)!

While the rest of the SXSW scene partied late and then slept off some Texas-sized hangovers, our friends at Dig For Fire worked through the night editing and mixing the wonderful video and audio recordings from yesterday, and now we are proud to present our first video dispatch from Austin.

We've posted three episodes with exclusive performances from the Other Music stage featuring: Times New Viking and J. Mascis; Jay Reatard and These New Puritans; and Bodies of Water and Mika Miko. We're back at the venue right now (probably as you're reading this), the bands have just started playing, and the party will be going strong until 6:30pm or so.

So if you're in Austin, please hurry right over, and make sure to visit to othermusic.com tomorrow for another batch of films from today's event, with longer programs coming soon. Thanks!
