Quincy Jones' new projects

In 1987 Quincy Jones attended the Montreux Jazz Festival for the first time; soon he produced big projects for the festival, such as concerts with Miles Davis or Herbie Hancock. He is addicted to Montreux, as he tells Thomas Nagy, and he considers the festival's founder Claude Nobs a visionary ( 20 Minuten ). Nobs works with the spirit of a jazz musician: Never play the same thing twice. The 74 year old Jones will produce his next album with Joe Pesci and plans to go into the studio with Snoopy Dogg and Clark Terry. He is also working in a new compilation, featuring the jazzier side of his A&M years, to be released later this year all over the world.
