Ed Neumeister

Recebi mensagem de Ed Neumeister:

"There are a few things that I would like to share with you.

The concert in Dublin, Ireland for the RTE living Music festival was very
exciting. And the performance of the piece "Suite for Piano Quartet and
Improvising Soloist" went really well. It's a composers greatest thrill to
hear his music performed soon after the piece was written. And, the most
exciting thing of all is that I can share this with you. The concert was
recorded by the RTE Radio in Dublin, and we ran a video camera during the
concert. I'm waiting for the audio recording so, as soon as I receive it, I
will merge it together with the video and make the concert available for
listening and viewing on the web site. I wanted to announce the upcoming
tour and the video of the concert in the same e-mail as to not clutter your
in-box, but the tour starts on Friday in Louisville, so there is still time
to find a baby sitter if you are in Louisville.

I'll send an invitation when the video of the concert is ready for viewing.

I also wanted to let you know that I will be touring in the US the next
month, see itinerary below. If you are in the area, please come by and say
hi. This is the most extensive tour I've made in the good ole' USA and I
hope that it is the beginning of many more stateside performances, now that
I am moving to Los Angeles. As you know, most of my performing has been in
Europe the past years and this is the beginning of more activity in the
states.

I'll be playing in a variety of situations on this tour from quartet or
quintet to guest soloist/composer with big band. There are many great
players that I will be collaborating with. It's going to be fun making new
musical friends. I realized that I wasn't performing enough. Sure feels
great getting the chops up and running and ready to explore. There are also
several clinics and masterclasses.

I do have some free time on the road, so if you know somebody who might be
interested in a private lesson (trombone or any instrument improvisation)
please have them contact me. I'm already planning for some short tours and
concerts next fall through 2008, so if you have any ideas please get in
touch.

More news: The new DVD "Creative Practicing - Practice creatively" will be
finished and available this summer. You can check out excerpts at YouTube
or at EdNeumeister.com. I've been getting many great comments.

If you have tried to go edneumeister.com recently and found an error
message. SORRY! Something wrong with the server. We're working on it.

There are still many participant offers available for the NeuHat Ensemble
Project. Especially, higher level Participants are needed in order to keep
the project rolling. The latest NeuHat Ensemble concert from New York is
streaming on the radio along with the last two quartet Cds.

If you are in the cyberspace area, stop by the site and say hi. If you are
in the area of any of the upcoming gigs, stop by and say hi.

Looking forward to seeing you.

Peace.

Ed"
