Introduce Your Kids to Jazz with WeBop!

Jazz at Lincoln Center’s WeBop! classes for the spring term are now open for enrollment with free trial classes for interested parents March 7 & 8. Intended for children ages 8 months-5 years old, WeBop!’s spring term explores the people of jazz with focus on legendary jazz musicians and composers such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and Dizzy Gillespie. These classes offer a creative outlet for children and their parents/caregivers to explore jazz through movement, songs, storytelling and play.

Classes are segmented based on age:

HIPSTERS: 8-16 months old
SCATTERS: Walking-23 months old
STOMPERS: 2-3 years old
GUMBO GROUP: 3-5 years old
SYNCOPATORS: 4-5 years old

WeBop! is produced in collaboration with Dr. Lori Custodero of Teachers College at Columbia University.

Spring Term runs weekly from March 17 through May 17, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays. Free trial classes on March 7 & 8 at 9:30 a.m. (8-23 months), 10:30 a.m. (2-3 years old), 11:30 a.m. (4-5 years old) or 12:30 p.m. (3-5 years old).
