Wesley Snipes in a film about Thelonious Monk

The actor Wesley Snipes looks like Thelonious Monk and thus might play him in a planned film biography on the pianist, as several web blogs quote director Leon Ichaso ( MTV Movie Blog , Lee Bailey's EurWeb ). Ichaso wants to portray Monk as a human being who had to fight with personal demons yet became one of the most influential bebop and jazz musicians.
