Hip-Hop Instrumental Cues For Netflix
1990’s Style HIP-HOP INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed for several NON-Exclusive, $2,500 to $3,500 Direct-to-Supervisor placements in a NEW Original Film on Netflix. They’re looking for authentic-sounding ‘90s Style Instrumentals in All-Tempos that could be found on a playlist with artists/acts like (but not limited to) Wu-Tang Clan, DMX, Naughty By Nature, etc., etc., etc. Please listen to the references they gave us to get a good idea of the ballpark they’re looking for:
WARNING: Some of the following references have graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised.
“C.R.E.A.M.” by Wu-Tang Clan
“Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” by DMX
“O.P.P” by Naughty By Nature
Although some of the references contain vocals, please send only instrumentals for this pitch.
Give them Cues that have an authentic ‘90s vibe, with compelling beats, and a subtle, yet attention-grabbing melodic hook to keep the audience engaged. Your submissions should develop as they progress by adding and subtracting different instruments/elements to keep them moving forward.
All submissions should be at least 2 minutes in length. Easy edit points and buttoned endings are recommended. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists or their music in any way, shape, or form. Use it only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Also, do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine).
The estimated license fee for this use is $2,500 to $3,500, depending on the ultimate placement. This is a Direct-to-Music Supervisor placement, so you’ll keep 100% ownership of your Master and Composition rights, plus you’ll also get 100% of the sync fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. All Submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a person hand-picked by the Music Supervisor. No full critiques. All submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT) on Thursday, August 18th, 2016. TAXI #U160818HH
