Diana Krall starts her Australian tour today!

After the sold-out New Zealand gigs, Diana Krall starts today, February 23, the Australian leg of her "Quiet Nights World Tour."

4:30PM GATES OPEN
5:40PM MELODY GARDOT
6:45PM MADELEINE PEYROUX
8:00PM DIANA KRALL with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra

Ticket General Admission $119.90
Diana will perform at five ‘a day on the green’ events nationally as part of her February/March concert tour, which will also see her play at indoor entertainment centres backed by 42-piece symphony orchestras. Besides DK's Verve labelmates Melody Gardot and Madeleine Peyroux as opening acts, due to a "logistics" decision of her company, Katie Noonan and the Captains will also perform as "opening act of the opening acts" at the ‘a day on the green’ concerts, except today and tomorrow in WA, where the WASO (West Australian Symphony Orchestra) will be accompanying Diana Krall. The WASO will perform the magnificent scores written by Claus Ogerman for both the "Quiet Nights" and "The Look of Love" albums.

Multi award-winning and platinum selling songstress Katie Noonan has charmed Australian audiences for more than a decade with her exquisite vocals. Katie’s most recent album, "Blackbird," a collection of Lennon-McCartney songs, was recorded in New York with the cream of jazz musicians, enabling her to combine her two loves of pop and jazz music. Katie and her band, The Captains, will open the day’s music in fine style.

Across its nine year history, ‘a day on the green’ has proudly presented a diverse range of music, and to see these incredible artists all on the same bill is an extraordinarily rare opportunity and one that will be embraced by music lovers nationally.
