Jazz vocalist Audrey Silver is going to be @ Linger Cafe and Lounge in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, on February 7th at 2PM, when she will be performing songs from her new album, "Dream Awhile."
Linger Cafe & Lounge
533 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn (btwn 3rd and 4th Ave.)
She will be backed by Dominique Gagne (flute), the great Ron Affif (probably the most underrated guitarist of his generation... I really love his CDs for Pablo) & Joe Fitzgerald (bass)
Jazz vocalist Audrey Silver has been impressing audiences all over Manhattan as a warm and sensitive stylist. She has had a steady stream of appearances including performances at 55 Bar, Sweet Rhythm, and Cleopatra’s Needle.
Silver studied classical piano and cello from an early age. During college, Silver founded Brown University’s first coed jazz acappella group; she transcribed her favorite standards and began to develop her skills as an arranger.
Audrey’s debut CD, entitled “Here In My Arms,” contains some of her favorite, less commonly sung standards with contemporary arrangements.
