(Sylvia Telles & Candinho, mid-50s)
(born José Candido de Mello Mattos Sobrinho on February 8, 1934 in Lambari, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil;
died on September 4, 2017 in Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil)
R.I.P.: Candinho, great (and criminally underrated) Brazilian composer and guitarist, who recorded a few albums like "O Mergulhador" (with violin virtuoso Cussy de Almeida) and "Brazilian Trip" ("A Viagem" with the famous jazz duo Mitchell & Ruff.) He was married to legendary singer Sylvia Telles (1935-1966) and is the father of Claudia Telles, also a renowned songstress. His most frequent partners were lyricists Lula Freire and Marino Pinto, but he also collaborated with Ronaldo Boscoli and Paulo Cesar Pinheiro.

Loved your tribute to Candinho. Wish his recordings were more accessible.
