Dave Stryker has been voted one of the Top Jazz Guitarists for the last several years in DownBeat Critics and Readers Polls. According to JazzTimes magazine, “Stryker is a perfect combination of accessible grooves, melodic expression, blues feeling and soul… with gospel-like joy throughout. Surging through Dave’s assorted gifts is his unique strength... a rare rock-bottom groove that can sometimes top today’s jazz complexity sweepstakes.”
Eric Alexander, a brilliant tenor jazz saxophonist currently signed to the HighNote label, is known for his sophisticated hard bop and post-bop style. Critics claim listening to Alexander, unfettered and at length, is one of the greatest treats in jazz. Eric’s imposing improvisation seems to have no boundary. One of the few players who is more influenced by Dexter Gordon and George Coleman than by Coltrane and Rollins... He takes his heroes seriously and it has certainly paid off in a string of albums engineered by the late master Rudy Van Gelder.
Jared Gold is not your typical B-3 party animal. On every tune, after laying down his funk bona fides, he keeps streaming content and delivers fresh ideas. Gold’s harmonic concepts are outside the organ genre as we have known it.
McClenty Hunter has become one of the most in demand drummers on the New York jazz scene. He has toured with Eric Reed, Javon Jackson, and Ceder Walton among many, and is currently a member of Kenny Garrett’s band.
