Vinyl Reissue of the Month - "Eumir Deodato: Deodato 2"

Vinyl Reissue of the Month
Eumir Deodato: "Deodato 2" (CTI)

Produced by Creed Taylor
Engineered by Rudy Van Gelder

Pressed on 180 gram vinyl, this is the first expanded LP issue of "Deodato 2," adding three bonus tracks not included in the original 1973 release and previously available only on the CD reissues produced by Didier Deutsch: "Do It Again," "Latin Flute" and "Venus."
Oddly, the "new" LP cover art deletes Alan MacWeeney's original cover pic and replaces Bob Ciano's original album design for a banal Raymond Meier photo used on another CTI album, Charles Fambrough's "The Proper Angle," in 1991...! The track-sequence is completely different too.
Featuring: John Tropea, Stanley Clarke, John Giulino, Billy Cobham, Rick Marotta, Rubens Bassini, Gilmore Degap, Joe Temperley, Hubert Laws, George Marge, Romeo Penque et al.
