Original "limited edition" pressing of Joe Knowlton & Bing Bingham's debut album, shamelessly bootlegged in subsequent years all over the world, including Brazil (credited twice to "Best of Friends" on Quartin and Tapecar labels) and Europe (credited to Deodato, who, actually, had only overdubbed orchestral arrangements on four tracks...)

The latest CD reissue (released by the UK label Rev-Ola in 2004) credits Eumir Deodato as the producer

Excerpts from the uncredited CD liner notes: "Originally released in 1971 and produced by Brazilian superstar Eumir Deodato and Harry Lookofsky (father of The Left Banke's Michael Brown), Joe & Bing's Daybreak would be reissued no less then three times around the world by 1976... All Joe and Bing ever saw of Quartin's enthusiasm for the record was a single box of promo copies. Upon receipt of the Quartin LPs, they discovered that their ensemble was actually called Best of Friends, and not Joe & Bing as they had originally intended to be known... The only money the duo saw from sales of Daybreak was from fans that paid $10 for a copy of the private press after their live shows..."
