Joao Gilberto's concerts in Italy are cancelled

Due to health problems, João Gilberto was forced to cancel, today, the three concerts (on January 2, 3 & 4, 2009) he was supposed to perform at the Teatro Mancinelli, in Orvieto, during the 16th Winter Edition of the Umbria Jazz Festival, officially titled "Umbria Jazz Winter". Now, both parties are starting to negotiate Gilberto's apperance in the Summer issue of the Umbria Jazz Fest, scheduled for July 10-19 in Perugia.
