Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music valued faculty member Terence Conley was sadly involved in a serious car accident in October and is currently in intensive care. His condition is serious but improving slowly week by week, the road to recovery will be very long and challenging. In effort to help Terence’s family during this difficult period, a benefit concert will be held at the Brooklyn Conservatory. The Conservatory invites one and all to enjoy some great music and asks the public to help us support Terence and his family.
Featuring artists: The Duke Ellington Orchestra, Jambalaya Brass Band, Renee Manning Group, Jerome Harris, Doug Booth Tuliva Donna Cumberbatch & Trio, Christine Moore, Lucy Galligher Trio.
Cost: Minimum donation $10. So, donate whatever else you can. (You would pay more than $50 to see the Duke Ellington Orch at the Blue Note alone).
Also: I wanted to let you know that a fund has been established through the Jazz Foundation of America. Donations are tax-deductible. Checks can be written to "Jazz Foundation", with the memo note indicating "for Terence Conley Fund" to: The Jazz Foundation, 322 West 48th Street, New York, NY 10036 -- Attn: Bookkeeper ; call (212) 245-3999 with questions.
