Quincy Jones is headed to New York City to celebrate the release of his new book, "The Complete Quincy Jones: My Journey & Passions," which hits stores this week. Look for Q at the Barnes & Noble store in Union Square on Wednesday (November 12) at 7 p.m. for a book signing and question-and-answer session with esteemed jazz critic/historian Nat Hentoff.
Meanwhile, "Summer in the City: The Soul Jazz Grooves of Quincy Jones", the acclaimed compilation of his A&M years produced by Arnaldo DeSouteiro for the Verve Music Group, remains a best-selling CD all over the world.
While in New York, Quincy will do several interviews for TV and radio to promote the book, the CD and the "Q Prize" event.
Quincy is scheduled to appear on ABC’s "Good Morning America" on Thursday (November 13) and "Live with Regis & Kelly" on Friday (November 14). He’ll also be on NPR’s "All Things Considered," several Clear Channel radio stations, WNYC’s Soundcheck, Bloomberg Television’s Muse, PBS’s "The Charlie Rose Show," and ABC’s "Nightline."
