Dizzy Gillespie & Miriam Makeba w/ The United Nation Orchestra: "A Night in Tunisia" (JazzDoor) 2005
Filmed at the Jazz Fest Wien, in 1991, features Claudio Roditi, Danilo Perez, Ignacio Berroa, Ed Cherry, Giovanni Hidalgo, John Lee, Jose Sanchez, William Cepeda et al.
After a 12-minute version of the jazz anthem "A Night in Tunisia", Gillespie (dressed like an African) introduces "The Queen, Miriam Makeba" and she joins the stage with her musicians (but keeping Berroa on drums) and three beautiful backing singers to perform "Africa Sunset," "We've Got to Make It," "Milele (when Zenzi Lee becomes the leading singer and Miriam goes to "background vocals")" and "Amapondo". Dizzy and the full band return to the stage and they all perform together "Live the Future", receiving a standing ovation.
