"On Friday my band plays for the first time at Spazio's, before I head to Palm Springs for a gig on Sunday, 4/11. I’ll be playing with the Desert Cities Jazz Band which should be a ton of fun. Hopefully the only rocking will come from the band."

The Sony Holland Duo (aka "Dos Hollands") is the jazzy, folky, classy, funky, swinging duo of vocalist Sony Holland and guitarist/composer Jerry Holland. Performing from their repertoire of originals and classics, Ms. Holland’s expressive vocals combine with Jerry’s rhythmic guitar style to give “dos Hollands” a distinctive genre-blending sound.

As a solo artist, Sony Holland is an internationally known performer. She has appeared extensively in Asia, in prestigious festivals and premier clubs such as the Blue Note, the Catalina, the Dakota, the Rrazz Room and Yoshi's, etc. Her "Out Of This World" CD includes three original songs and 10 jazz standards.

Jerry Holland left NYC to become a staff writer for Warner/Chappell Music Publishing in Nashville. He composed the music and lyrics for "Friends," a #1 Billboard Country Song for Atlantic Recording artist John Michael Montgomery. His songs were also recorded by Reba McCintyre and many others.

Sony and Jerry spent a year in Paris where they both caught the jazz bug and set out on their current path. Currently based in Los Angeles, after a long period in the Bay Area, they perform in festivals, cafes, house concerts, social events, etc..., having formed a cult-following.
