Review about "Nu Jazz Meets Brazil: The Dom Um Romão Remix Project" (produced by Arnaldo DeSouteiro and Marcelo Salazar), published in England's "Straight No Chaser"magazine. Review written about SNC's editor, Paul Bradshaw.
"Subtitled "The Dom Um Romão Remix" Project the boys at Irma get busy by handing over the original Arnaldo DeSouteiro produced masters to a brace of badass remixers with predominently a West London edge. The raw material features classic cuts written by Kenny Dorham, Mongo Santamaria, Jorge Ben, Danilo Caymmi and, of course, Dom Um, and the original playing is, thanks to The Master, ridimically deep. We had a taste of the LP via the vinyl EP and therefore, have to expect, track by track, free flowing innovation. Fortunately, that's you get from G Force, Catalyst (Alex Attias), Ian O'Brien, Opaque (Seiji), Sci Clone (Nathan Haines) and Nubian Mindz. The Bugz studio was well busy on this one. Check it."
