Commissioned by Jazz at Lincoln Center, Wynton Marsalis world premieres Abyssinian 200: A Celebration, a special mass to celebrate The Abyssinian Baptist Church's bicentennial.
Featuring the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and the 100+ members of the Abyssinian Baptist Church Choir.
Rev. Dr. Calvin O. Butts III delivers a rousing sermon in this special concert event, which supremely melds jazz and gospel traditions.
