Paula Faour's "Cool Bossa Struttin'" to be released today on digital platforms

"Cool Bossa Struttin'," the critically acclaimed debut album by Brazilian pianist Paula Faour, will be available today, for the very first time, on digital platforms.

Originally released in 2001 in Japan, and later in Brazil, the album was produced by Arnaldo DeSouteiro for his JSR (Jazz Station Records) label, and features Paula leading a trio with two legendary musicians -- bassist Manuel Gusmão and drummer Dom Um Romão -- plus special guests Ithamara Koorax, José Carlos "Bigorna" Ramos, and Gabriel Improta.

The repertoire includes tunes by Sonny Clark, Thelonious Monk, Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Alan Palanker, Eumir Deodato, Rick Suchow, Jimmy Van Heusen, Johnny Burke, Djalma Ferreira, Luis Antonio, Haroldo Lobo, Niltinho, and... the Beatles!

The physical CD releases can be found on Ebay and Mercado Livre websites.
