DeNeille Thompson @ Scullers Jazz Club

DENEILLE THOMPSON
ARRIVES AT SCULLERS JAZZ CLUB NOVEMBER 5
FOR BOSTON SHOWCASE

Crooner DeNeille Thompson is truly a wandering nightclub singer. In the tradition of “any place I hang my hat is home,” this gospel influenced, jazz and blues singer has definitely lived a traveling man’s life. Never looking back, he skipped from Newport, Rhode Island to Boston, hopped over to Los Angeles, then on to Paris, toured all of Europe, then made friends with the Caribbean, kicked up the dust in Australia, partied in New Orleans and now is hopping back to Boston. Never looking back, he has sung the nights away in clubs, bars, restaurants and resorts and lived life like a truly great, international cocktail party.

Thompson is booked for a rare engagement on Wednesday, November 5 at 8:00 p.m. at Scullers Jazz Club in the DoubleTree Guest Suites Hotel [400 Soldiers Field Road, Allston]. Tickets at $20.00 can be purchased on line at www.ticketweb.com or by calling: 617-562-4131. For full information, call: 617-562-4131. Scullers is wheelchair accessible.

Thompson’s musical influences include the great Lou Rawls who moved him as if every song he ever sang was taken from a page right out of Thompson’s life. Ray Charles was another strong influence. Both of these stars were personal acquaintances as well. Billy Eckstine, Sammy Davis, Jr., Arthur Prysock, Tony Bennett, Mel Tormé, Etta James, Barbara Streisand and the fabulous Ella Fitzgerald were also heroes. Their collective souls are combined into a cocktail that Thompson has consumed down to his very being!
