Retro R&B, Funk and Soul Songs Needed For Hollywood Feature Film

Music Supervisor needs Mid-To-Up Tempo Retro R&B, Funk, and Soul songs with male or female vocals for a big studio, Hollywood Feature Film. Stylistically, you should jump a train back to Funky Town and the days of Kool And The Gang, Sly & The Family Stone, James Brown, Gladys Night and The Pips, Donna Summer, etc. Here are a few tracks for you to check out:

"Get Down On It" by Kool And The Gang: http://bit.ly/8Pyjvf

"Everyday People" by Sly & The Family Stone: http://bit.ly/13zl29T

The Music Supervisor does NOT need vintage master recordings, so your current recordings are fine. He does need your tracks to sound as if they would have been played on a car radio or in a roller rink back in the '70s. Please DO NOT submit anything that sounds too stylistically contemporary. He's looking for authentic sounding tracks of the '70s era.

Universal lyrics are needed, but themes that would vibe well in the '70s are encouraged. Think of foxy ladies, Saturday nights, disco balls, and just a good time, funky party vibe. Clap your hands and get out on the dance floor! Please keep your submissions bright, fun, and upbeat.

Broadcast Quality is needed (excellent home recordings are fine). Keep in mind that anything that's too contemporary sounding will not work for this. Please do not copy or rip off the referenced artists in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a stylistic guide for overall feel, tone, and vibe.

The estimated license fee for this use is $1,000-$2,000, depending on the ultimate use. This is a direct-to-music supervisor placement, so you'll keep 100% of the sync fee and all of the royalties. You must own 100% of your master and composition rights to pitch for this placement. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis with no full critiques. Submissions are due no later than Thursday, August 22nd, 2013 at 10:30am (PDT). For additional info, please visit www.taxi.com
