Tracks from Joao Gilberto's three legendary (oops!) albums for Odeon are re-constructed by the Italian guys of the Brazilian Love Affair Project. They have added new funky grooves, new bossa beats and new instrumentation (with real horns, synthesized strings and some nice Rhodes solos) to classic songs by Dorival Caymmi ("Rosa Morena"), Roberto Guimarães ("Amor Certinho"), Gilberto himself ("Hô-bá-lá-lá") and Antonio Carlos Jobim ("Outra Vez," among many others). Out of tune note: "Desafinado" is miscredited to Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes, instead of Newton Mendonça. Highlight: the title track "Você e Eu" co-penned by Vinicius & Carlos Lyra.
