A powerful tenor saxophonist whose adventurous flights with his longtime band the Fringe have made him a legend in the Boston area, George Garzone has spent most of his life as a jazz educator. He began on the tenor when he was six, played in a family band, and attended music school in Boston. Garzone first formed his trio the Fringe (a group that in the mid-'90s also included founding member Bob Gullotti on drums and bassist John Lockwood) back in 1972. In addition, Garzone has guested in many situations, touring Europe with Jamaaladeen Tacuma and gigging with Danilo Perez, Joe Lovano, Jack DeJohnette, Rachel Z, and John Patitucci, among others.

Joe Cohn, the son of the legendary saxophonist Al Cohn, is one of the today's most creative guitarists - melodically quick witted, harmonically advanced and relentlessly swinging. He has performed with father Al Cohn, Freddy Cole, Bob Mover, Nick Brignola, Artie Shaw, Zoot Sims, Buddy DeFranco, Al Grey, Warren Chiasson, and Carmine Leggio among others.

Jazz writer Gene Lees once wrote, "Stan Getz was once asked his idea of the perfect tenor saxophone soloist. His answer was, 'My technique, Al Cohn's ideas, and Zoot's time.' The fulfillment of that ideal may well be embodied in Harry Allen."

Harry Allen has over thirty recordings to his name. Three of Harry's CDs have won Gold Disc Awards from Japan's Swing Journal Magazine, and his CD Tenors Anyone? won both the Gold Disc Award and the New Star Award. His recordings have made the top ten list for favorite new releases in Swing Journal Magazine's reader's poll and Jazz Journal International's critic's poll for 1997, and Eu Nao Quero Dancar (I Won't Dance), the third Gold Disc Award winner, was voted second for album of the year for 1998 by Swing Journal Magazine’s reader’s poll. The Harry Allen - Joe Cohn Quartet won the New York Nightlife Award for Outstanding Jazz Combo Performance of 2006 and was nominated for Best Jazz Combo by the Jazz Journalists Association for the same year.

Toronto native Grant Stewart is a hard-swinging tenor saxophonist steeped in the jazz tradition. Introduced to jazz by his part-time jazz guitarist father, Stewart grew up listening to such legendary saxophonists as Charlie Parker, Wardell Gray, and others. By his early teens, Stewart had already found performance experience with such artists as Pat La Barbera and Bob Mover, and at age 19 moved to New York City. Since that time, Stewart has performed with a bevy of well-known jazz musicians, including Clark Terry, Brad Mehldau, Curtis Fuller, and many others. On his own, Stewart has released a handful of recordings, including 1992's Downtown Sounds, 1999's Buen Rollo, 2005's Grant Stewart + 4, 2007's In the Still of the Night, and 2009's Plays the Music of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn.
