Eliana Pittman: "La Fabulosa!" (Rivol) 2010
A surprising set, record during Eliana Leite da Silva's engagement at the El Dorado nightclub of the Camino Real Hotel in Mexico, in 1970. Now reissued on CD for the first time, by the Mexican label Rivol Discos, includes an ecletic repertoire - from Teddy Randazzo's "Going Out of My Head" to Gershwin's classic "Summertime", from Jorge Ben's "Que Maravilha" to Ary Barroso's "Bahia" (Na Baixa do Sapateiro), which includes an uncredited quote of Durval Ferreira/Pedro Camargo's "Chuva". There also interesting versions of Roberto Carlos' "Se Você Pensa", Marcos Valle's "Viola Enluarada" and the folk song "Estrela do Céu É Lua Nova," a fixture from Stellinha Egg's book.
