One of the top 5 jazz singers of 2009, according to the Jazz Station Poll, the stunning LA-based Icelandic singer Anna Mjöll will be performing @ Charlie O's (818) 989-3110 in Valley Glen this next Friday, January 22, at 8pm!!
Backed by Andy Langham (piano), John Heard (bass), and Roy McCurdy (drums), she's promoting her debut CD, "Shadow of Your Smile," which features session top session players as Vinnie Colaiuta, Dave Carpenter, Luis Conte and Don Grusin, and includes delightful new versions of Jobim's bossa classics "How Insensitive" and "Água de Beber". Hope both will be on the program.
