R.I.P.: Jean-Claude Fohrenbach

Jean-Claude Fohrenbach
(born January 5, 1925, Paris/France;
died March 30, 2009, Villiers-le-Duc/France)

Jean-Claude Fohrenbach started his career playing with Django Reinhardt, Michel de Villers, André Persiany and Kenny Clarke. He was inspired by Coleman Hawkins's style. Between 1949 and 1951 he played with Roy Eldridge, Don Byas and James Moody. In the 1950s he was influenced by West Coast Jazz, listening to Stan Getz, Warne Marsh, Lee Konitz and Zoot Sims.
