Ernestine Anderson fighting to save her home
For now the singer Ernestine Anderson's Seattle home is saved, as Manuel Valdes reports (Washington Post). She had not been able to satisfy her creditors, and her house had been up for auction. Quincy Jones and Diane Schuur as well as friends and admirers of the singer had donated 43,000 US Dollar. The principal loan balance still is more than 400,000 US Dollar, and Anderson has problems paying her monthly payments of 4,400 US-Dollar, as her monthly income is just 1,000 US Dollar from Social Security, and her performances are limited. She will try selling a second house next door to be able to save her home.
