Featuring: Airto Moreira, Adam Nussbaum, Mike Stern, Joey Calderazzo, Jeff Andrews, Don Grolnick et al.
Includes "Gossip", Airto's incomparable tambourine solo ("Sete Sementes"), great version of Grolnick's "Pools" with a sax quartet (Brecker, Ernie Watts, Bill Evans and my late idol Stanley Turrentine) in the "Saxophone Workshop '89", a reading of Flavio Venturini's "Nascente" from a 2001 set at the Universal Jazz Convention in Tokyo, the meeting with McCoy Tyner's trio at the Newport Jazz Festival and, as a bonus track, Brecker's performance with Quincy Jones' All-Stars Big Band (including Joe Lovano and George Young on the sax section) of "Manteca".
