Cynthia Layne awarded
At a luncheon to be held on June 14, 2008 at the Madame Walker Theatre in Indianapolis, Indiana, Cynthia Layne will be awarded for her contribution to the community by being named as a 2008 Arts & Culture Breakthrough Woman by the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Indianapolis Chapter. Five women from different professional areas are honored each year by this prestigious organization. Celebrating its 25th year, The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Indianapolis Chapter is an advocacy organization that works to empower women of color by "building partnerships through creative alliances."
