"Roda de Elite" (pronounced: ho-dah jee ee-lee-chee) - A Traditional Samba Group . A samba response to the Buena Vista Social Club.

This new group is dedicated to bringing an authentic “Roda de Samba” to the New York city and beyond. A “Roda de Samba” is made when a group of sambistas, or samba musicians, gather in a circle and perform at any time, in any place - a party is often involved. Roda De Elite aims to resurrect the Samba de Raiz (samba jee hie-eez) style. It is the traditional style of samba.
