A New York street performer in her early beginnings, Blackman (a LP artist) has performed with retro funk rocker Lenny Kravitz, and a wide assortment of jazz artists such as Jackie McLean, Joe Henderson, Don Pullen, Hugh Masekela, Pharaoh Sanders, Sam Rivers, Cassandra Wilson, Angela Bofill, Bill Laswell, Buckethead and many more.
