Much-loved Folk-Jazz troubadour of “What colour is love” fame.
Born in Chicago on May 24th 1945, Terry grew up singing alongside soul greats Jerry Butler, Major Lance and Curtis Mayfield.
At the turn of the millennium Terry released a series of album for Mr Bongo label including Alive (recorded at the Jazz Café), Speak Your Peace, Total Recall and Lookin’ Out. In 2006 Terry collaborated with Massive Attack and the single: Live With Me reached number 15 in the national chart. Summer 2006 saw Terry touring and supporting MassiveAttack. Life’s lessons a double CD of the best of Terry Callier, stretching from 1966-2006 on Demon music came out late 2006.
