The 75 year old keyboard master Joe Zawinul was admitted to Vienna's Wilhelminenspital on Sunday ( Die Presse , New York Times ). American newspapers report a serious illness, but his agent asks the press "to observe his rights as a patient and a private person". At this moment it is not clear whether Zawinul will be able to perform at concerts planned for September. Let's pray for this genius!
