Bob James & Earl Klugh on "Naked Guitar"
Successful aging jazz stars, writes Barry Fox ( The Patriot News, Harrisburg ), at one point will do what they always wanted to do. Earl Klugh for instance concentrates more on playing acoustically on the "Naked Guitar" as his new album is called. Pianist and keyboardist Bob James, Klugh's longtime friend and musical partner collaborated with musicians from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music to produce the CD "Angels of Shanghai". Artists who do the same thing over and over again frustrate him, James says. "The best music comes out of taking risks."
